Chyulu Hills & Amboseli Country

A landscape-focused route through Chyulu country, with volcanic hills, forest-edge scenery and space for guided walks. The emphasis is the Chyulu landscape and a locally arranged conservancy base, rather than another version of an Amboseli game-drive itinerary.

Your suggested 4-day journey

1. Day 1: Travel to the agreed Chyulu-area gateway and settle into a confirmed lodge or properly arranged camp. Review routes, access and transport with your local team.
2. Day 2: Explore a suitable hill or forest-edge route with a locally arranged guide. Choose distance and pace around your party rather than assuming a demanding hike.
3. Day 3: Spend another day with the Chyulu landscape and the activities permitted by your agreed conservancy or park arrangements. Leave time to rest between outings.
4. Day 4: Allow a final landscape stop if the transfer plan permits, then return to the agreed gateway. An Amboseli park visit is an optional separately scoped addition.

Plan the details

The overnight base, conservancy access and guiding must be confirmed before booking. Lava-tube or cave entry is not assumed, and this route does not include an automatic Amboseli park ticket. Camping equipment, meals, water and transport need an explicit written scope.

Guide price and your written quote

The USD guide is per adult for the whole suggested itinerary, based on two adults sharing rooms and ground services where applicable. All flights, visas, insurance, tips and personal spending are excluded. The travel team itemises accommodation, meals, entry fees, guides, vehicles, transfers and any optional activities in the final written quote before you pay.

Three nights, guided walking/camping or simple lodge plan must be selected with a specialist. Amboseli Country refers to the surrounding landscape; no Amboseli National Park game-drive day is included. Cave exploration, landowner/conservancy permissions, authorised rangers and road conditions require explicit confirmation. No unaccompanied cave visit or guaranteed Kilimanjaro view.
